SNIC is funding Advanced User Support 2008-2009

In summer 2008, SNIC issued a call for advanced user support with a focus on gridification of applications. In September 2008, the SNIC board has granted funding for two projects:

  • 200 000 SEK for Grid adaptation of DALTON on Nordic grid infrastructures. The application was submitted by Prof. Hans Ågren at the Department of theoretical chemistry at KTH and PDC/KTH. The work is to be coordinated with matching efforts by Notur in Norway och NDGFs ”Chemistry Community Project”.

  • 400 000 SEK for the application submitted by MD, PhD Johan Nilsson at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Lund University and LUNARC/Lund University, entitled: Large-scale simulation of survival after heart transplantation using gird-enabled artificial neural network application.
